Chapter 1 introduced some of the first migrations, first human societies and agriculture. What intrigued me was the ‘The Realm of the Spirit’ topic/ text because I have always thought that stories about ghosts and black magic were thrilling and interesting to hear. It is said that there were only little evidence that have been left to prove that the supernatural world existed, even when knowing that the Paleolithic culture believed and practiced in being in this thing called "trance dance." It was also stated in the textbook that some shamans (skilled people dealing with the spirit world) would perform along with taking psychoactive drugs.
In the Philippines, black magic is common in their society. Now of course not everyone practices or believes in it, but I want to assume that at least 70% of the PI’s population do know about it or at least have heard about it. Ever since I was young until now my family, some friends and I believe that there are supernatural beings out there. That another world does exists. I would share some stories on here about some people that I know that has experienced weird energy, but just by thinking about them right now gives me goosebumps.
Maybe next time!
